Hastily crafted from โ ” select pine. After a failed attempt, the design was changed to be more stable and “neato.”
The back panel and reverse side of the letters have CNC cut holes for the dowels that suspend the lettering.
The construction of the box was designed to fit together like a shoebox, sandwiching a flexible LED strip between the two halves.
The background is a metallic black, splattered with white paint. The lettering is painted white with splattered blue paint.
The outside is torched and oiled, giving a warm and easy finish…giggity
From start to finish, this was completed over a weekend. This was a huge learning experience and I now know which direction to go in the future.
