A kinetic Pendant made of sterling silver and set with a beautiful iolite – every piece is hand sawn and shaped. The expanding motion is based of the hoberman sphere and the spinning motion of the centerpiece is carefully calculated to enable maximal movement.
Although this piece is challenging througout the most difficult aspect for me was the suspence of not knowing if everything fits together – since you really only know this when you are in the final steps of riveting all the 26 individual pieces.
The wearability was a major focus of this project – therefore the fish spans the length between 4 cm in closed state and 5 cm in open state.
