This wand was hand forged out of mild steel for the body and spring steel for the basket holding the blue marble. The basket was made by forge welding both ends of 4 rods together, twisting them tightly, then untwisting to open the basket. The wand has 2 knot holes like you would see on a typical bit of drift wood on a beach. The marble represents the life of the ocean. I was inspired to make this beach themed wand by my wife who loves mermaids!
