This is 65….yes 65 layers of acrylic paint on a 12inx12in pine board then carved into a sea turtle to show all the different layers. The 65 layers took almost a month to apply and dry. The carving took about 8 hours in total. It was finished with 3 layers of spray lacquer to protect the paint.
