Standing TW Leather
These book ends are inspired by the author Edgar Allen Poe. I wanted to make book ends that were inspired by books themselves and what better way than to use an amazing author for inspiration. The skulls are made of veg tan leather (one containing a decorative tea light candle holder) and the raven is made of leather except for the feet which I used wire and floral tape and beak which I whittled from a juniper branch. I then used a tagging pen to color these things. The most challenging thing was the raven. It has been the most complex leather sewing project I’ve ever done. Altogether it took probably 4 days to build.
