Framed Exotic Wood Cut Off Square

While trying to figure out if my original plan for the baseball card display was going to work, I resigned myself that I was not going to have time to complete it in time. So, while thinking up a “basic bitch” idea of a geometric scrap wall art piece, I remembered I had the cut offs of the bud/propagation vases. I started with a 14″ x 14″ piece of 3/4 Plywood. Used scrap moulding to make the frame. Then cut pieces of Bloodwood, Bocote, Bubinga, Morado, Osage Orange, Walnut, Cherry & Zebrawood in to 1/4″, 1/2″ and larger pieces. They are glued to the plywood backing in a random pattern to create the piece. This was probably the shortest project I had to do with only a few hours into this piece.
