Bearing Book Ends

SpleenBeGone

This is a brass and steel roller bearing that has been quarted. Steel flat bar was cut and welded to make a 3.5″ angle Each bearing quarter was welded into place, trapping the brass cage so it couldn’t fall free. This allows the rollers to still spin free. Everything was finished up with a wire wheel and flap disk, and then cold bluing was used to darken the steel portions and blend things together.
